Vennture Application Form Link Worker

Street Based Link Worker

(with a specialist triage function)

Hours:            Full Time 37.5 hours. Some unsocial hours may be required.

Pay:                £20,552 per annum

Job Type:       Fixed term contract, initially for 12 months.

Do you want to work in a role where you can support people to rebuild their lives?

Vennture believes that people can and do recover from the issues created by homelessness.

Covid -19 has led to an unprecedented opportunity to reduce the numbers of Herefordshire’s rough sleeping and sofa surfing community and for the first time, each ‘homeless person’ has been identified, located, and through Venntures’ initiatives, is being engaged through a process of care that puts them in the lead.

Vennture is now looking for a Street Link Worker with a specialist triage function, who can further progress the work and support the housed homeless by building positive relationships and providing a network of care that will play a part in bringing transformation to their lives, whereby they can begin to imagine a more positive future, have a sense of belonging and of dignity and feel safe and secure.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with genuine hard-edged compassion and great communication skills who share our vision that transformation is possible.

The role will suit someone who has experience in dealing with rough sleepers with multiple needs and the ability to work with challenging behaviour. You will understand the issues faced by homelessness or vulnerably housed and the difficulties they experience. You will also have experience of solid safeguarding practice and working in partnership.

If you are an inspirational and committed individual with a real desire to support people to rebuild their lives, we want to hear from you.

Christian vision, ethos and principles underpin the way Vennture operates, and it is expected that the successful applicant will have empathy with and be able to embrace our Venn values of Faith, Love and Endeavour. They will connect to our sense of purpose and vision and be able to integrate swiftly and successfully into our high-performing and friendly team and enjoy being part of a challenging and ground-breaking initiative.
