 Do Something Meaningful

Play a part in changing lives – Helping people to help themselves.

Covid has had a huge impact on individuals. While many are getting back to ‘normal’ many are not. There are lots more people struggling and struggling with lots more. Vennture’s mission is to Love People Better – bringing practical meaning to The Power of Jesus’ Love. As part of our desire to invest in Herefordshire and its communities and with funding from the Community Renewal Fund, we are looking for Link Workers to be able to come alongside, travel with and help people to a better place.

Using our relational approach and with support from well-trained volunteers you will work directly with these people and will follow a proven process that helps them face their problems and realise their own resources. Our vision is to ‘Help people to help themselves’. You will be required to monitor progress towards the outcomes they have set for themselves and evidence their steps forward.

The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a demanding workload and most important of all – genuine hard-edged compassion and understanding. It requires a resourceful, creative approach to problem solving and the ability to stick with people through thick and thin. You will be working in a supportive team, with strong, appropriate professional supervision and clear ethos based on ‘Loving People Better’. We want to show them unconditional love, help them rediscover hope and support them in making different and often challenging choices for themselves

Vennture works with people of all faiths, and none. Our employees and volunteers are drawn from all sectors of society. Regardless, a Christian vision, ethos and principles underpin the way Vennture operates, and it is expected that the successful applicant will have empathy with and be able to embrace our Venn values of Faith, Love and Endeavour. They will connect to our sense of purpose and vision and be able to integrate swiftly and successfully into our hard working and friendly team and enjoy being part of a challenging and ground- breaking initiative.
