Supporting the Military
The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has enabled us to be that extra pair of hands, helping with appointments, school meetings or finding a dentist.
How we help
We can visit families weekly to listen and help.
We can help for a few weeks or up to 6 months, depending on what families need.
We can be that one consistent contact.
Our family Link Workers all come from Service or Veteran Families so they get it.
What we offer
- Weekly visits in the home with a trusted person who listens,
encourages and challenges you. - Help with managing appointments, talking to GPs and
schools, housing or welfare. - Realistic, evidence-based parenting strategies, if needed.
- Relationship and communication strategies, if needed.
- Help with SEND, referrals, EHCPs and
school placements, DLA and PIP.
What makes our support different?
We have 10 years of experience working with families and a wealth of knowledge, skills and strategies that make a difference.
We believe everyone can find solutions for their family if given safe conversations and the time to reflect and think things through.
This is what we do. We listen, reflect, and share realistic strategies and knowledge that will help families find the best solutions for them. We visit for an hour every week and give every family an extra hour for things like DLA/PIP applications, Family Conversations for EHCPs, referrals to appropriate agencies, and introductions to community support.
